Let’s polish our writing skills in French. For this activity, I would like you to find 1 or 2 people living with you, preferably a male and a female and describe what they are wearing in a short essay.
For example, you may choose to describe your sister/brother, or your partner etc. Begin your essay like this:
(Name of person) porte …(piece of clothes #1, #2, etc). To avoid repeating their name in your essay, you can use the subject pronouns il (he) or elle (she).
Here is a brief example of what you could write
Ma femme (My wife) s’appelle Sachiko. Elle porte un jean et des chaussures. Elle porte aussi (also) un chemisier…
You may also choose to list clothes YOU are wearing. In this case, you will begin your essay with Je porte…
Je m’appelee Anna. Je porte un chemisier blanc et un short vert. Je porte des lunettes. Je ne porte jamais de boucle d’oreilles. Mon mari s’appelle Somsak. Il porte un short bleu. Il met une chemise. Il aussi port des lunettes. Quand nous sommes notre maison, mon mari et moi ne port jamais de chaussures.
Merci, Anna. This was a nice little essay. Just a few things I would like you to pay attention to:
1. The spelling of “m’appelee”
2. The spelling in “Il port” and make sure “aussi” goes after the verb, not before.
3. Quand nous sommes (add “dans”) notre maison….
4. Mon mari et moi (my husband and I = we), so make sure the verb “porter” agrees with the subject NOUS.

…but can I make a few quick comments? you should make sure to place the colors AFTER the nouns, i.e., you should say 'une chemise grise' instead of 'grise chemise'.
- Also 'Des' (indefinite plural article) should be used in front of a noun in the plural, so 'pink shoes' = DES CHAUSSURES ROSES. (notice how ROSES still goes AFTER the noun CHAUSSURES and takes an S because of the plural agreement). Colors will agree in number and gender with the nouns they accompany. I hope this helps, merci

Mon fils n’aime pas porter Lourds vêtements Même par temps froid. Je ne porte jamais accessoires mais mon mari aime bien porter les bagues, bracelet, etc. J’ai achete beacoup d’accessoires pour lui.
