Look at the pictures and listen carefully before answering verbally. I provide two examples below:

Est-ce que c’est une étudiante?

Is this a female student?

Answer: Oui, c’est une étudiante.

Yes, this is a female student.
Est-ce que c’est un tableau?

Is this a blackboard?

Answer: Non, c’est une école.

No, this is a school.

Writing Activity: Translate into French the following passage.

My name is (your name here). There is a window and a door in my (dans ma) classroom. There is a yellow clock and a maroon (black)board. The teacher’s name is Matthieu and he is tall, young and nice. There isn’t any eraser in the classroom.

    2. Non, c'est un pupitre.
    3. Oui, c'est une fenêtre.
    4. Non, c'est des craies.
    Mon nom est Anna. Il y a une fenêtre et une porte dans ma salle de classe. Il y a une horloge
    jaune et un tableau noir. Mon professeur s'appelle Matthieu et il est grand, jeune et gentil.
    Il n'y a pas des gommes dans la classe.
