hello prof,

my question today is not related to the lesson but related to REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS…it is said that it is an action to onself…

je me coupe. i cut myself

tu te coupes. you cut yourself

il/elle se coupe. he/she cut his/herself….etc

what if the action is perform to another person, for example

i cut you… can i say “je te COUPE”?

you cut me… can i say “tu me COUPES”……

if yes, where should i base the conjujation of the verb, to the subject pronoun or to the reflexive pronoun? cause im not sure if i used the right endings of the verb COUPER...

Great question, Djiobex. The \"m\'\" before is a reflexive pronoun and it is also part of the verb. The infinitive of the verb is \"s\'amuser\" (to have fun/ to play). Please check my lesson on the reflexive pronoun and you\'ll see how reflexive verbs work. It\'s quite easy. Here is the link: http://frenchtasticpeople.com/w3l2.pdf

hi prof,

is the " m' " in the sentence {Quand il fait beau, j’aime m’amuser avec mes amis. I like to play with my friends.} necessary? cause you said that the formula is "subject + aimer (conjugated form) + verb (infinitive)"... is it wrong if i only say "j'aime amuser avec mes amis"?

thank you!!!
