I thought, asking somebody’s name is: “Comment tu t’appelle?” or “Qui est tu?”

“Comment t’appelles-tu?” would be correct, athough “Qui es-tu?” would work, too. But I would personally use the first choice. (Be careful with verbs conjugated with TU. They must take a final S (“appelleS“/ or ” eS”)
