Welcome to the Solutions Download Center

Here you will find all the answers  to the exams you have previously downloaded.

You should check these solutions after taking any exam. This is ideal. However, you may look at a “cheat sheet” if you really feel like you need a little “boost”. :-) Prof Frenchtastic is certainly not in the room, so it won’t hurt too much if I don’t know. If you ever find an error (typo) or disagree with a suggested answer, please feel free to post a comment below with the exam and answer key numbers so I can take a look at.  Merci!

Hi, I am enjoying this site for learning french. I have started to do the exercises starting from week 1 exercise 1, however I find it hard to find the answers in order to move on to next exercise, pouvez vous m’aide?…thanks

      Sheila,

I’m glad you like the site. I deliberately abstained from posting the answer key for the exercices. Instead I would like the members to post their answers online and have everyone, including myself review it. This way, others seeking answers after you will also be able to read the previous corrections we’ve made. How does that sound? Let us know when you ready to post your answers for week 1 exercice 1. A simple “copy-paste” should do. Merci!

Hi Herman. I hope you are doing fine. This site is the best.

Look! I have some questions about the EXAM 5-WEEK 5.

When a noun is in its femenine form but it is plural, Do I have to add anyway the letter “e” in the adjectives that follows that noun? For example: des robes blanchEs, des bottes noirEs, des chemises bleuEs.

In the exercise 4, letter e) my answer was: Théodore porte des chaussures marrons.
But in the answer keys, the adjective “marron” is in singular. So, I don’t know which answer is correct.

Also, in the exercise 4, letter g) I think there is a mistake.
What are THEY wearing? ELLES PORTENT une robe rouge.

I hope you can understand my doubts :)
    Merci et bientôt.

      Bonjour Vanessa!
the color “marron” always remains invariable in French. So you’d say “une table marron” or “des tables marron”…Regardless of the gender or number of the noun it modifies, the adjective “marron” will never change.

Thank you so much for pointing out this error in the Ex. 4
      Merci et à bientôt!

    Is the following sentence wrong?
Partent-t-elle des vestes jaunes? taking in consideration the rule number two on how to form a question:

#2.- Add “-t-” between the Verb and the Subject if the subject is IL or ELLE AND the
verb is an ER verb (only). Donne-t-elle un cadeau?

Because in the exam of week 6 the answer is the following:
    Portent-elles des vestes jaunes?

    • prof_frenchtastic

      Salut Vanessa,
your subject here is “ELLES” (plural form of ELLE), and so you will not need to add “-t-” since the verb itself (“PORTENT”) ends with a T, which makes the liaison already. If it was a singular female subject “ELLE”, then, we would need to say “Porte-t-elle une veste…?” I hope that helps!
      A plus!
      Herman
