where can i find answers to the exercise?
Dear Khushi,
I did not provide any answer keys for the exercises. You will have to post your answers (and questions) here on this site if you want to receive some feedback from other users or myself. Only the exams have an answer key. So go ahead to post your exercise here and we’ll what we can do to help. Merci!

Exercise Week 7 – Leçon 1
I had a question about this lesson. I noticed after looking at the exercise where there was no translation for Qui enseigne le Français? that on page 2 of this lesson it says “À qui est-ce que tu apprends le français?” (Who(m) are you teaching French?) Doesn’t apprends mean learn though? When I translated enseigne I got the word “sign,” but I see that it is also a verb that means teach. In the lesson before this one, I also got confused when I saw one of the answers for Week 6 Exam where legs was suppose to be “jambes,” but I think you had the french word for shoulders there. Just thought I’d mention. Also I think I saw “bleus” and “bleues” under the answers there if I remember right. One of the answers I think said “bleues,” but the plural is “bleus” right? Originally I thought I was wrong, and changed it to “bleues” like the answer said, but decided to go back to my answer “bleus.”
Exercise:
a) Qui mange le pain? (Who eats the bread) Qui est-ce qui mange le pain?
b) Qui regarde la télé? (Who is watching TV?) Qui est-ce qui regarde la télé?
c) Qui connaissent-elles? (Who do they know?) Qui est-ce qu’elles connaissent?
d) À qui ressemble-t-il? (Who does he look like?) À qui est-ce qu’il est ressemble?
e) Qui recompensons-nous? (Who do we reward?) Qui est-ce que nous recompensons?
f) Qui parle espagnol dans cette classe? (Who speaks Spanish in this class?) Qui est-ce qui parle espagnol dans cette classe?
g) Qui enseigne le Français? (Who teaches French?) Qui est-ce qui enseigne le Français?
h) À qui pensent-elles? (Who are they thinking about?) À qui est-ce qu’elles pensent?
i) De qui parlez-vous? (Who are you talking about?) De qui est-ce que vous parlez?
Thanks
Salut Skigirl, Great answers!! Just review d) and make the necessary change:
d) A qui est-ce qu’il ressemble?
Also, thanks for pointing out areas that seem a little confusing. I will take a closer look when times allows it make some modifications if needed. Merci beaucoup!

7. Anna pense à quoi? (Literally—->Anna thinks about what?)
8. Que avez-vous décidé? (What have you decided?)
9. Tu dis quoi? (Literally—> You say what?)
Merci.
Salut Skigirl,
Your answers to this exercise are correct. Just be sure in #8 to make the “liaison” between QUE and AVEZ = Qu\’avez…Merci!
exercise week 1 lesson 1

- ils
-vous
-nous
-vous
-elle
-nous
-tu
-ils
-elles
-tu
-je
-elles
-il
-vous
(these are pronouns i found in each coloumn in list form)
B- ( I basically replaced the underlined subject with the pronoun]
a) tiger woods= ill
b) alyssa= elle
c) bob et tom = nous
d) toi et moi = nous
e) mes parents = ? [is it ills?]
f) les filles = elles
g) “Parles – tu – francais, Georges?”
h) “Parlez – vous – francais, monsieur”
i) ce jeune homme = ill
C-
marchons = vous
regardes = tu
demandent = elle
vont = il
accordons = vous
jurez = ?
soulevez = ?
alignes = tu
garons = tu
sautent = il
Princess,
There are a few answers here to correct. For example, in C) (3rd answer), you wrote you chose “elle” for “demandent”. As I explain in my lesson, when a verb end in ENT, its subject is more likely ILS or ELLES (plural). Also when a verb ends in EZ, its subject is more likely to be VOUS. IL is written with only one L. Ths subject for VONT is ILS. Also, BOB et TOM = ILS (they) Hope this helps.
Herman
is (“my parents” the pronoun for it) “ils” ?
Oui! my parents = THEY = ILS (in French).
exercise week 1 lesson 2
A- [ i am listing the corrections for each sentence a-i]
a)no error

e)tu es heureux
f)suis je fache?
g)elle es mon docteur
h)?
i) vous estre heureux
Princess, Thanks for your answers,
In activity A), I can see some errors in some of your answers. I won’t give the correct answers immediately because I would like you to discover them yourself first (a second chance
The problems are a) d) e) f) g) h)
Activity B)
a)elles sont (des) filles
b)ils sont (des) garçons
c)nous sommes …
d)nous sommes…
f)suis-je fâché(e)
g)elle est mon…
h)(my own mistake, sorry)
i)vous êtes heureux
Isn’t d (Are we coworkers?) sommes-nous?
Yes, if the sentence is written as “are we…” then “sommes-nous” will be correct. Oh I see now, in my answer i wrote nous sommes…Good you spotted it. Merci.
