Bonjour Pr.

    • prof_frenchtastic

      Salut La Belle,

      Bonne chance!

      Herman

    YOU’RE THE BESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!! :D
I FELL I LOVE YOU ;) THANKS FOR HELP US!

  • Azul

    Bonjour Hernan!

Firstly, thanks for all the help. These lessons are very useful :)

I just have a comment about WEEK 7 LECON 2. At the end of it you say that you don’t know the reason of using QUEL/QUELLE with the verbe ETRE to ask questions like QUEL EST TON AGE?
Well, it is the same in Spanish (my first language). We use CUAL which would be the translation of QUEL. I think in English coul be translated like “which one”.

    Quel est ton nom?
    Cual es tu nombre?
    “Which one” is your name?

    Quel est ton sport prefere?
    Cual es tu deporte favorito?
“Which one” is your favorite sport?

Maybe it doesn’t make much sense in English, but I guess that it’s the translation. What do you think?

    • prof_frenchtastic

Azul, it does make sense!!! Thanks for providing the Spanish equivalent. it’s true that both languages are quite similar when it comes to grammatical concepts like Quel/Cual. Thanks for visiting the site

  • yulia

you knowwhat mate…you are just AMAZING!!!!))))))))

the only time i can study french is while im stuck in traffic or when im waiting for my car to warm up and this is helping me a lot along with the audio files i have found on youtube which directed me to this site. i dont know how much progress i can make with 15 minutes a day … thank ou very much for the step by step guides

  • jgortiz12

    Professor,

Thanks so much for providing all these methods of learning French! It’s really very well planned out and the youtube videos are simple to follow and very clear.

(I thought I would write you a note in English, Spanish, and Italian since I, like you, speak them all. Hopefully soon I will be able to write to you in French as well!)

  • meow334

thank you so much Professor! You’re so generous and I really appreciate your work! You’ll always be my teacher.

  • Davor Smolic

    Dear professor,
there is something wrong with some of the lessons available for download, since my Adobe PDF reader always indicates that it is unable to read and open them and I always get a blank page. This error occurs with the following lessons:
    W1l2, w4l2, w6l1, w7l1, w7l2, w8l2, w10l1, w10l2, w13, w16, w17, w18, w19, w20, w22, w24
Maybe it has something to do with my PDF reader, but still I am begging you to investigate and to either send me the correct files on my e-mail or to post them here and just notify me so that I can download them.
Thank you in advance for your help on this matter.
    Davor

    • Bonjour Davor,
I just looked at all the files you've mentioned. I clicked on them individually, and they seem to work just fine. Yes, I will be more than happy to send you all these files manually, but would you first try to install a fresh Adobe Reader ( http://get.adobe.com/reader/ ) and if it doesn't work — (well, you're in serious trouble, then :-) ) — I will send them to your email registered in my database.
This is the first time this problem has been mentioned so far, but I will double-check. Thanks much.

P.S. Would you please tell me which Operating System and browser you're using to access these files, just in case?
      A plus!
      Herman

  • RNF Alucard

  • RNF Alucard

  • Juancho1600

Je vous remercie beaucoup monsieur frenchtastic

  • Kristy

    Bonjour Profe,
I keep trying to download the lessons and exercises and the site won't allow, even after signing in. it keeps bringing me back to the sign-in page (even though I repeatedly do it!)
    What is going on?

  • prof_frenchtastic

Kristy, Sorry to hear you're encountering some problems with the downloads. I can't tell you for certain what is causing this, but I just looked at the download log file in my Control Panel, and I couldn't see any apparent problem so far. But before i look any further, could you tell me which files you'd like to download ? I'll send them to you manually. Contact me at "prof_frenchtastic [@] yahoo.fr" and I'll make sure to email you the files . (please, remove the quotes from the email address and reformat it as needed. Just trying to avoid spammers)

    Herman

  • Kristy

    Bonjour Prof,
Thanks for the offer, but it seems to not work for ANY lesson I click on, so unless you plan on sending me all of the lessons, it doesn't seem too logical. I can't think of what could be going wrong. I have another wordpress profile and I don't seem to have problems signing into that one, I am not sure why this site asks me to sign in over and over, and why just recently (this month) it is causing problems. I'll try some things and see if something changes. If nothing changes, maybe I will email you and ask for all of the lessons!
    Merci.

    • Kristy

It seems to be a problem with the automatic sign in through other sites (google, facebook, etc), but if I go the long way around it works. Thanks anyways!

      • Bonsoir Kristy, please contact me as soon as you can at this address: prof_moderator [at] frenchtasticpeople.com (please reformat email as needed ).
I would like to try something here with your own login details but you need to contact me at the above address so we can try to fix this technical issue. Really sorry for the inconvenience. Hope to hear back from you soon.
