    hi I am so happy I found your website and I am excited to learn French because I am now living in Belgium and I don’t understand much! I am having a problem downloading the lessons that go along with youtube, please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you

    I can’t download any of the documents! has this problem been rectified?

      Julianna,

      I promise that I will take care of it by Monday evening (US central time) or Tuesday morning the latest. The site was down for several days after a failed upgrade to a new WordPress version, and after my host server fixed the problem, all the paths/links to the download files were broken. And so now I have the difficult task to manually reconfigure all of them. I was going to do this this weekend, but a friend’s wedding (which I am officiating!) as well as other duties caused me to postpone this task. But I will make sure to work on it as soon as I can.

    Hello Professor Really like your lessons ‘coz they make French seem ‘learnable’. Please let me know the lesson that covers ces, c’est. I have come across this quite often in your sample sentences and still haven’t figured out when and how it is used.Thank you.

      Bonjour Anu,
      It is true that “ces” and “c’est” can be confusing (since they are pronounced the same way). CES is a demonstrative adjective and I have a lesson on it. Here is the link: http://frenchtasticpeople.com/w14.pdf

      Now, the other “C’est” is simply a contraction of CE + EST (verb être) and it means THIS IS/IT IS/THAT IS. Note that CE is also a demonstrative adjective. I hope this helps!

      Bonjour Teddy,

      I’m curious why you couldn’t find the next lessons. You should be able to see them on the same page, arranged by weeks. For example, the first lessons were Lessons 1 & 2 of Week 1. So the next one will be Lesson 1 of Week 2. Please look on this very page and let me know if you can find it.

      Also, don’t forget to work on exercise and exam available for each week. I hope this helps. Let me know if you still have questions. Merci!

    Thanxs for your quick response,Sir!!

    I have gonne through with all 24-weeks lessons but i couldn’t find about indirect speech sub-topic i guess.I would appreciate if you direct me to find the topic and plus if you have any micro dialogues in French in different situations(contexts)!!

      Jojo, sorry to hear that you’re having some difficulties downloading the files. I really don’t know what can cause the problem you are currently experiencing, but I checked the log and many members were able to download lessons and exams today, Jan 23rd. Make sure to be logged in before you can download the files. Also check your firewall just in case and go into your Internet Options, and make sure your connection allows cookies from this site as well. Let me know if any of these steps can fix this issue. Otherwise, I may have to send you the files manually whenever time allows it. Let me know!

    Thank you so much for this great help. I am completely new to french but this website seems to be guiding in a very easy and interesting manner. I glad I landed here. Well, I have a question.. I dont know how to find out if my solved exercises are correct or not? Can I find these exercises solved somewhere or the correct answers?

      I’m also happy you have found the Frenchtastic French language site :-) As far the answers for each exercise is concerned, I did not post any file, however, I strongly encourage each member to copy-paste his or her own answers and this way, I or some other subscribe could quickly take a look at them and provide some feedback.
