Cedilla- cédille
Let's Define It!
What's an *cedilla*?
This fancy name is nothing but the ç place under the letter cto indicate that it is pronounced like an sound.
In French, the cédille is only placed when the letter [c] precedes the vowels a / o/ and u.
If you do not place the cedilla there in those three instances, you then will obtain a hard [c] as in cat / comma / culinary.
