Let's Define It!
What's a *future simple*?
It is considered future simple because it is the standard form of the future tense AND is comprised of only one conjugated verb.
Le futur simple - as it is called in French - is perhaps one of the easiest French tenses to conjugate.
To conjugate a verb in the future simple, you need its infinitive form + the following endings: ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont.
For example, parler in the future simple is
je parlerai, tu parleras, il parlera, nous parlerons, vous parlerez, ils parleront.
There are a handful of verbs that have irregular forms in the future simple:
faire, venir, aller, devoir, savoir, pouvoir, avoir, être, voir, vouloir
