What's *morphology*?
By morphology (in French, morphologie), we mean the study of words, the structure of words to be precise, how these words are formed and how they relate to other words within the same language.
In morphologie, one can study the various units making up a words, units such as prefixes, endings, suffixes, root words, stems, etc.
A morphological analysis of the word impitoyable (merciless) reveals im as prefix, able as suffix and pitié as root
